Aerospace Engineering Intern: Summer 2025

Hourly Rate: $18 – $21 per hour

At NEOEx Systems, we are working on an Energy and Power System and a Liquid Hydrogen Refueling System, which will revolutionize drone transportation by providing energy and power for longer duration and range operations. We work closely with UAV manufacturers to integrate our energy and power system into their vehicles to increase flight duration.
As we continue to grow, we need help, and we are looking for an Aerospace Engineering Intern to support the development of electric vehicles using analytical and experimental skills to support company research and product development activities. An ideal candidate would be available to work Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week at our Elyria, OH location.
This role will report to the company’s President.

Duties:
• Conduct mechanical engineering calculations and analysis to solve problems
• Conduct CAD solid model development using SolidWorks
• Conduct independent technical research
• Conduct thermodynamic and heat transfer analyses
• Assist in the fabrication and assembly of mechanical and electrical systems
• Develop experimental test requirements documents
• Assist in the conducting of test experiments and document results
• Produce written technical reports
• Present oral technical presentations
• Support general office and shop operations

Qualifications:
• Current enrollment in an accredited school to obtain an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Experience in using SolidWorks
• Ability to speak and write proficiently in the English language
• Ability to use basic hand tools and a multi-meter
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent
• Experience using video teleconferencing applications (i.e. Zoom or Teams)
• Experience in computer programming
• Experience in CAD solid modeling
• Ability to hear audible alarms
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
